Music Education
Zida Academy provides private one-on-one music lessons to students of all ages. Our school founder and Music Director Hua (Jennifer) Lan teaches according to the curriculum of the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and encourage our students to prepare for RCM exams. This allows our students to set goals and work towards them along with gaining potential high school and post-secondary credits from the completion of upper level RCM exams. Over the past two decades, all of our 10,000+ students have benefited in various capacities from their music training and allowed them to excel in other areas of their development. Many of our students have been admitted into top universities such as Cambridge (UK), Columbia, Harvard, MIT and Yale and enjoyed successful careers in a wide range of professions. As Canada’s first and only Steinway Select School, our students have the opportunity to participate in a myriad of performances at competitions, recitals, events and festivals both in Canada and internationally. Some of our students as young as 3 years old have performed at world-class venues such as the Carnegie Hall in New York City. These wonderful experiences provide our students with the tools for them to unlock their potential and a lifelong of enrichment.
