Early Childhood Education
Zida Academy is licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Education as a childcare and educational centre. Our full-day early childhood education program is offered as full- or part-time format for children ages under 18 months to 6 years old. We also provide a Summer Camp program for children ages 44 months to under 7 years. Zida Academy models various educational methods such as the International Baccalaureate, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf and "How Does Learning Happen?" Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years to educate our children in a dynamic learning environment from a global perspective. Our comprehensive curriculum is organized as STEAMS which stands for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) + Arts + Sports. The children’s learning experience is also enhanced by the benefits of music training as part of our curriculum and delivered by our very own Steinway Select School. Studies have shown that the first five years of a child’s development are the most important and there is no greater investment than in early childhood education.
Children currently enrolled at our Early Childhood Education Division have the opportunity of taking additional private one-on-one music lessons outside their full-day curriculum at our Music Education Division at extra cost.
We are currently accepting year-round registration in full- and part-time enrollment.

STEM
STEM stands for “Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.” It is a curriculum that helps children create ways of thinking about (and solving) the problems that they face as global citizens. Through this curriculum, children build critical skills like creativity, resiliency, ‘grit’ and communication. All those things are key characteristics of innovative thinkers and problem solvers!
Arts
The Arts are a very important part of our curriculum, not just because it fosters creativity, but it also helps children develop mentally, socially, and emotionally. Arts can boost children's self-confidence and their ability to analyze and problem-solve in thousands of ways. Our Educators strive to make children feel accomplished whether they are creating, performing or communicating through the Arts
Sports
Sports are a fun way to increase children’s physical activity level and develop lifelong habits for good health. We aim to create sports activities that help children gain higher self-esteem, stronger connection with their environment, better peer relationships, and fewer behavioral issues. By using teamwork and leadership skills on daily basis, we believe that our children will develop into successful adults.
